The Illini look loose, very loose and confident

Just as I write this Illinois makes a couple bonehead plays I would still like to see the hawks get the #4 seed and not have to play on Thursday as the big favorite.

The hawks have been strong and weathering comeback attempts by teams but would rather they focus on that Friday game.

Dang, Illini! 9 points in the first 14 minutes of the second half. It looks like Ohio St is Iowa's last chance to get a double bye.

I can't stand rooting for stupid teams i don't even like. It makes it even more annoying watching them suck it up.

I think i would rather be the 5 with purdue being the 4 than be the 4 with OSU being the 5.

Iowa has won 6 straight. 5 seed just means we can add one more to that streak before re-matching purdue, which we should win.

We have a certain senior that isn't going to let his team lose a game they shouldn't.

Lock for the tournament. I'm not going to get hung up on 4 seed/5 seed stuff. Granted, that extra rest day is good ... but I believe this team is up for whatever is thrown at it.

Illinois is the head-scratcher. They just seem dis-jointed game-after-game year-after-year.
Seems like that was the case in a lot of high school games I watched over there, too.

They get some really solid recruits every year and never seem to do much with them. Always hurt, always underachieving. At this point can it be anything other than the coaching? I don't know.

???
And just who are their 'really solid' recruits, currently?

Their best player is a Transfer from Drake.

They signed 7 4* kids in he last 3 classes 2013, 2014, 2015 not including Rice. How Illinois does so little with so much is a mystery.
