The Davidson Train

Obama's bracket has Davidson beating us and them facing off against ISU in the sweet 16.

ESPN's statistical analysis shows Davidson favored at 52.7%. Seems like there is a lot of sentiment out there favoring Davidson. I keep hearing 'Iowa is a really good team BUT .... I am picking Davidson'. We might as well as take our parting gifts, save the charter allowance and stay home as we have no chance.

Davidson is a good upset pick because they are capable of lighting it up from 3. The truth is though, they HAVE to shoot lights out to win. I would much rather be the team who wins UNLESS the other team has a great shooting night.

Screw Obama.....look what he's done so far to all of us.....I guess it's only fitting that he bets against us, just like everyone else.....

Ok, here's my Rodney Dangerfield bit....."I tellya, no respect", as I'm grabbing my tie...;)

technically, Obama should be picking Iowa on general principle ... since, if it wasn't for Iowa, we'd be discussing President Hillary Clinton's bracket right now.

I still like Iowa's chances.

Davidson typically shoots much poorer away from home. As most 3pt teams do. In the cavernous arena they will be playing in, far far away from home, with little live fan support, I'm hoping they will clank their way to a loss. That combined with Obama picking against us gives me hope and change.

I know, right? I hate that guy.

IOWA should win this game by virtue of their size alone.

But we've all seen them get burned by three pointers. If we had five Ultrahoffs, this would be no contest.

But we don't.

Indeed. A little gratitude would be nice.

Picking ISU to the sweet sixteen is just more sand in the face.

Maybe he thought he was doing us a solid by picking one of the Iowa teams for the sweet sixteen.

Au contraire, buddy.

Davidson is also going from the east coast to Seattle to play this on a neutral court in which they've had little success... They have the furthest distance to travel of anyone I would think. I just think if we don't turn it over a ton and get good shots we'll beat them. Indianas little guys couldn't guard Uthoff and White and I doubt theirs can either. I think we'll out rebound the crap out of them and should get them into foul trouble unless they just give us inside looks. I just hope we don't settle for long tough jumpers. I mean if the open three is there in rhythm then sure take it just don't try and get in a shoot out with a team like that cause momentum is just a tough thing to flip once it gets rolling.

A lot of people look for the 10, 11 and 12 seeds that have a chance to win. I did the same thing when I picked Indiana. If I have to bet $100 on the Wichita State vs. Indiana game winner (no points) I'm betting on Wichita State. But when I'm trying to find a game where I have a reasonable chance of getting a leg up on everyone else in my pools I take Indiana.

That'd really p!ss off the committee...they put up Witchitata agin Indy cuz they want Witchitata playing Kansas in the 3rd (2nd) round.

The best 3 pt. FG% shooting teams in BIG conference play this season were (in order): IN, MSU, MN, MD, OSU, NW, and MI. We fared pretty well against them going 7-3.

Based on size and talent we should double-digit these tools. Our length should prevent decent looks.

But we're all given to trepidation because we've seen this team lapse in that regard and get three-bombed on more than one occasion.

I definitely agree...on the committee's motives. I think Wichita State is overrated. Indiana is a B1G school. And it would throw a little monkey wrench in the committee's "Master Plan." These are all contributing factors as to why I picked Indiana.

Obama probably didn't even fill in his own brackets, probably got the White House chef or gardener to do it for him

Fan support? Do they even have a fan base outside of the 1900 kids that attend the school?

He probably just threw darts at a board, and with his limp wristed throwing style it makes it difficult to aim.

Biden does the brackets. Duh.

What else does a VP have to do?

Plan trainwreck wars in the middle east? That's sooo last decade.
