The Classic Trap Game - Northern Iowa Panthers

The game time has been announced for Wisconsin. I'm sure that sent shivers down the spines of most of the players who know what it's like to play in Kinnick at night against a top 5 foe. If this doesn't set up the classic trap game...I'm not sure what does.

The only savior from my perspective is that UNI is outmanned in the trenches in a big way. The other caveat is that our offense hasn't clicked much, and they should come in focused to show a much better performance and want to score points. They should in no way be over confident, since they haven't exactly lit it up.

Hopefully the defense still has the chip on it's shoulder and wants to keep the scoring defense number intact this week. It could be easy to be looking ahead for them.

One "IowaLawWasRight" is enough. Please.

For our offense, I don't think we could possibly have a "trap" game right now. Hopefully, in practice this week they are putting some air in the tires, putting the chain on the sprocket and getting on that bike and riding it. I think we just may hang 40 on the Panthers Saturday night in a classic Jekyll and Hyde move.

Iowa's biggest advantage against UNI is that UNI is coached by a fkn incompetent loser.

I was at the David Johnson Violates Iowa game a few years back. Farley could have beat Iowa by 10, minimum, had he thrown to Johnson two or three more times. Johnson was unstoppable. A man against boys. But Farley, incompetent choker that he is, decided, to my disbelief and delight, that throwing to DJ was getting old, or some such shit, and so Iowa pinched out a win.

There's a reason Farley is still at UNI. That game was it in a nutshell.

UNI lost to FCS unranked Montana in their first game. We are significantly better than UNI. We should win by 20+ easily.

What if their loss to Montana was because it was a trap game for them? It makes us overlook them as a trap game because they got trapped, but really it just allows them to set their trap against us by being trapped themselves....

Quinton Alston must have nightmares about that game. He was chasing Johnson from behind on each one of those. As long as he was trying to cover Johnson why would you do much of anything different?... But yup Farley is who he is.

I hadn't heard one thing about what UNI has done yet this year.... Normally they are pretty good so this surprises me. With this being the case we damn well better not struggle against them.

The way we wore NIU down makes me think this will be a tune up for Wiscy. We will win comfortably, but it will be the 2nd half again.

I hope it goes just like this ^^^ and this ...

Hawks stick to a basic power game while mixing in some ball-control out routes to get 84, 12 and 6 into a groove and work on 4's accuracy, touch and (utmost) confidence. Halftime: 13 - 3.

Hawks roll over UNI in 2nd half with 28, 87 & 38, with a couple nice opportune deep balls. Final: 31-6.

Becky Vadger rolls BYU and comes to Kinnick expecting to an overpowering repeat of last year in Madison.

Hawks are humble, focused during next week's practice, and go frickin' spider-monkey next week as 4 has his one 'A-game' of the season.
