Yeah but if you take the '05 class and take all the early exits and transfers out you have basically every other class every year.

Let's examine our situation and see if we can make this glass half full.

Epy = true blue chip = :D

Martin = true blue chip = :D

Kallenberger = ESPN 300 = :D

Wirfs = Army All America = :D

Peyton Manziel = Blue-Grey All American = :D

Hankins = multiple P5 offers = :D

Colbert = 4 star = :D

Max Cooper = ESPN 79 grade = :)

Kelly-Martin = multiple P5 offers = :)

Turner = multiple P5 offers = :)

Levi Duwa = one other P5 offer = I'll take it

Coons = one other P5 offer = I'll take it

B. Smith = multiple FBS offers = I'll take it

Kirkpatrick = ESPN #87 tackle = time will tell

Harrell = ESPN #90 athlete = time will tell

Very few guys I would label reaches. Several are nice catches. Overall the positives are outweighing the negatives. I also have a gut feeling the walk-ons will add some smiles.

I have been saying this since the whole de commits went down. The nucleus of this class is very solid. It is going to come down to the finish. If we get Johnston and Martin, it is back to a very good class. If we miss on them, and get ISM, Rafdal, Bryant, Creamer it is a good class. If we miss on all of these guys then it is basically fall backs to all of these guys, then it is just a solid nucleus that never developed around them and is disappointing.

I actually think he'll be pretty darn good. He's played HS ball in a talent rich area and stood out. 6'3 and over 200 lbs. I feel he's been a bit overlooked. I think we'll be glad he's a Hawk.
