The Big Question I Still Have?

Can he recruit to Iowa City the type of players it wil take?

Yes he is Ivy league educated, yes he took 3 teams to the NCAA( small schools), yes he was an assistant at some larger programs (20 years ago), etc etc etc...

But when we hired Lick, my big question is can he do it in Iowa City?

I still believe it is harder to win consistently day in and day out in the Big 10 than it is in a small school.

He will have to really bring in some guys that are willing to hit the recruitng trail hard and that can bring those type of guys in.

I like the guy and hope he does well..... I just don't know......

In his short invu on the BTN last night he mentioned traveling Iowa while recruiting players for Notre Dame. He strikes me as a passionate, aggressive guy that I think will do what it takes to open or re-open the recruiting pipeline to Chicago and Detroit and do his utmost to keep top Iowa prospects in state.

There's only one answer....

and that is time will tell. He has a varied background that will serve him well (hopefully). Grew up in Philly and earned his bones as a player and coach getting players from huge cities.

None of us know, and that's the interesting part of it.
