The Big 12 meetings intensify!!

Why would NE and MI would regret moving to the Big 10? More money, more potential rivalries, more stable conference, better treatment, better academics. Also, I think if asked Oklahoma would jump at the chance to join!

This is like one of those Agatha Christie novels, where some old, dying lady invites all her relatives to her house for one final get-together before her death. Everybody hates the old lady and they all want her dead, but they don't want to say anything to her because she hasn't finished her will yet. It's all a big charade about how the love the old gal, but you know she's a goner.

Who will kill the Big XII? Colorado has the lead pipe, Missouri and Nebraska have the knife and the candlestick, but Texas has the revolver.

And Iowa State has a rubber chicken.

Think about this: When, if ever, does a person get to make an apt analogy between an Agatha Christie mystery and college football?

I think we need to take a minute to appriciate this occasion

I agree. Damn impressive, in my opinion.

I don't think DeLaney wants to be the one that drops a nuke on college football, that is why I think they will only take 1 team. They will play serious hardball with ND, after they decline it will come down to Missou, Pitt, Rutgers, and Neb.
I have a hunch it will be Missou cause they seem to want it the most and offer a ton of TV sets.
The B12 will then pick up TCU/ Boise State/ Utah type of school after Colorado and Missou leave, and the smaller conferences will re-align accordingly and the after shock will be .00001% of what we thought it would be. Just my opinion.

While I respect your opinion, why do you think Jim Delaney likes college football the way it is today? Maybe he wants to force a massive change and nuke the BCS. Remember the 2nd team from a BCS conference in a BCS bowl only get $4-5 mil not the $13+ mil. the other teams get so maybe he feels the Big Ten is getting short changed.

Maybe he fears the Big Ten Champion getting shut out of the title game by the SEC and Big 12. The best way to deal with that is eliminate the Big 12.

How many they take will all come down to $$$ through the Big Ten Network, Big Ten title game, and Bowl revenues.

I just don't think he has the stones to do it.... that's all.

He won't have to. Just the mention of the Big10 expanding has sent the PAC10, SEC and Big12 into panic mode. The Big10 can sit back and let them flounder.... in the end we'll be fine. Rutgers, Mizzu, Nebby, Texas, and ND will look good in the new Big10.

This conf has enough ego driven fan bases (talkin bout you, tO$U). We don't have enough ego room to fit ND, Texas and Neb in the same room. As a fan, I'm not so sure I could handle it either.

I hope Nebraska is offered. They just fit in the Big 10 and would offer tremendous rivalries with a bunch of Big 10 schools. They of all the schools are just a Big 10 school.
