The 3rd and 4th place tiebreakers

It appears as if Iowa does not currently hold the tiebreakers to get one of the 4 spots with the double bye. What Iowa will need is for Illinois to upset Minnesota tomorrow. They are playing at Illinois, it’s senior day, stranger things have happened. That would result in Nebraska getting the 3th and Iowa getting the 4th seed. If the Goofers win Iowa gets the 5th seed and plays the winner of the 12/13 game (Northwestern and Wisconsin) on Thursday afternoon. That’s also not so bad.

Because we lost to those Golden Fuzz Rodents when we shouldn't have!

So far today Maryland beat Nebraska. So Iowa will tie for 3rd in the regular season with them, and possibly the Goofers. Illinois is hanging in there, down by only 7 at halftime against the Goofers.

Illinois is now up by 4. There is hope for Iowa.

Illinois could not maintain that lead, the goofers beat them.

Iowa has finished in a 3 way tie for 3rd place in the big 10. Iowa will be the 5th seed in the tournament and will play the winner of the Wisconsin/Northwestern game on Thursday at approximately 2:30 pm.
