That Buckeye punt marked at the 11 yard line.

i know it seems picky, but the OSU punt that was marked at the Iowa 11 yard line wasn't just a bad spot, it was just wrong! Is this not a reviewable call? Draw a line from where the ball lands to where the kicker was.

I thought the same thing. Somehow, though, any bad field position didn't hurt us, and we managed to keep them from starting any drives on our side of the field.

You could see where the ball hit the turf. It would have had to be punted from about 10 yards away to go out at that angle and land where it did.

The refs had issues with a couple of spots yesterday. That punt landed five rows up in the stands at the 10 yard line, so it should've been marked out at about the 20, not the 11. Ref blew that one.

Also, Jackson's last amazing pick was mismarked. I still think that when he hit the ground, the ball was over the white of the goal line, and it should've been a touchback. But if they're going to say it wasn't a touchback, then marking it at the actual 1 yard line wasn't correct either. Should've been at the 1 foot line at most. But I maintain it was a touchback all along.

Other than those, the refs did pretty well. At the time I thought the Bosa ejection was a lucky break, but when I saw the TV replay it was clear he headbutted Nate and needed to be tossed. I give the refs credit for doing that: tossing a team's best defender in a close game in the 2nd quarter. But it needed to be done, it was a stupid and classless move on Bosa's part.

That being said, I wasn't hearing his name being called much, to that point. Props to the O-line sand Nate Stanley for the job they did all afternoon.

Yeah, on first glance I thought the ejection was iffy. But bottom line, it was an intentional head butt. And it may just be the dumbest thing I have ever seen a player do. And considering the other O$U stunts we have seen (the guy that choked a Wiscy player in a pile, Ted Ginn breaking his foot on a post-KOR TD to open the 2006 BCS CG, et. al.), that's saying something. It was an incredibly stupid thing to do.

The brilliant result? We went away from that side on the next play, the TD to Fant. Absolutely brilliant, with Stanley looking off that side and Fant torching the LB/DB assigned to him.

I sit 42 rows up in the SE grandstands even with the goaline. I saw the head referee was way out of alignment with the punt spot after the punt had landed out of bounds. He was running to try to get in line but it was just a guess on his part and a bad one. How can the ball land well out of bounds even with the 10 yard line and be marked at the 11???

the flipping ball landed 10 yards out of bounds at the 11 yard line extended. that spot was off by at least 10 yards. horrible.

There several bad spots by the officials. The Stanley sneak seemed to be another one (at least it did from my view in the stadium...maybe it was different on tv).

I thought he had it also but on TV they never showed a shot of the ball.
