This is my own appreciation thread. I want to thank our boys for leaving it all on the field. it was not pretty but in the end stanzi got it done. All great QB's have to have a moment like Stanzi did tonight. He rose to the occassion. The defense was lights out. It took a trick play from the days of yore for them to finally get into position to get a Touchdown. The sportsmanship by our boys was top notch just like KF.

On another note. MSU fans and players are classless, jackoffs. This is nothing new. UM fans know they are trash. I could go on and on about these Aholes. This makes this victory even sweeter. sticking it to them after they thought they had it won.

On another note..

I know I definatly would. I think it is a given we lose today. Too much against us this week. Looking at the point spread and what is being said, some people know something we dont. I also dont think we win at OSU plus we know Iowa teams in the past have lost home games they should win. with all of that in play I would definatly sign on for 10-2 and the Capital one bowl right now. Who is with me? Who would be disappointed with 10-2?

Would you be disappointed with 10-2 now?

Aren't ya kinda glad they went ahead and played the game?

Yes I am glad we showed up. I was definatly scared of this game. You can see why. MSU plays dirty and their fans are like Eagles fans. I am so happy right now and proud of the Hawkeyes. Thank you for keeping me honest.

Not to be bummer man here, but remember a few years back when the IOWA fans booed at our own QB coming off the field at half time. I also remember a few more years ago another Iowa QB getting boed at the end of the Michigan game (97?) after leading at the half and loosing to the eventual NC Wolverines. I am not giving MSU fans (or coaching staff) a pass....they are a-holes....but just keep in mind that most fan bases have a few of them.

I was a fan of MDT until last night. I thought that he was a class guy. The only way I will still believe that now would be for him to say publically that he saw it on replay and call it like it REALLY was. I won't give the MSU player a pass either, he went for the head straight up. Sandeman was completely vertical when he was hit...that means 6+ feet of target area and the MSU player went for the head. Plain and simple.

Couldn't have been 1997, because that game was in Ann Arbor. Sam Sword picked off Matt Sherman late in the game to seal it for Michigan - in a game that Iowa led 21-7 at the half. On that last play, Sherman never saw Tavian Banks streaking down the sideline with nobody anywhere near him.

The game you're thinking sounds like the 2001 game, when Iowa blew a 26-8 3rd quarter lead, and the QB was Kyle McCann.

Also, just to play devils advocate, Sparty's fans gave Greenwood a nice ovation when he got carted off. Just sayin.

I think it was pretty pathetic for Sparty's coaching staff to be whining so much about the H2H call as well. There is guy KO'ed on the ground and the coaches are pointing up at the screen like it wasn't a H2H. I want to know what they were seeing, that we weren't?

If that was a MSU player on the ground, they would have been going crazy for a H2H call.

Exactly.
