Texas cleaning house

With the amount of football talent in Texas it's inexcusable for them to be this bad.

Meh, people say this a lot about various regions in the nation. The fact with the number of limited scholarships now and other schools having real money. It's not just as easy as you think it is.

You're kidding right? Texas gets top recruiting classes every year, 247 rated their class 3rd in 2018 and 2019 with the 2020 one ranked 7th. There is a TON of top football recruits in the state of Texas, it's how Hayden built Iowa back in the day. The Longhorns get the cream of the crop in Texas.

Maybe that should open your brain about star ratings, recruitment ratings, etc. They're usually not right :)
I heard it put best this way. Think of how many busts there are in the NFL draft and how many undrafted and day 3 guys turn into superstars. Think of the evaluation process every player goes through. Now think of how much less a HS kid goes through and how easy it would be to miss on a highly rated prospect or have a 2-star or unranked guy star because they haven't physically matured yet, nor have they been properly or thoroughly evaluated.

Except for Texas though right? Because they're always at the top......so which is it. ....

We've gone full circle with this. My original post was "With the amount of football talent in Texas it's inexcusable for them to be this bad." Texas should be one of the top teams every year, 7 wins is inexcusable. I could see having one bad season every once in awhile but not 5 of the last 6 years.

But you believe whatever you want. I'm checking out of this one.

"Texas gets top recruiting classes every year,"

"Star ratings are not gospel but typically the top teams get the best recruiting classes."

So Texas gets top recruits, and top teams get best recruit classes, yet Texas isn't top or elite

Gotcha, you're fucking confused and not very bright.

Star ratings aren’t absolutes. They certainly have meaning but hardly mean everything. Nebraska has a near, if not top 30 class every year. Talk about Frost needing better talent is another Nebraska farce.

I've come to understand that ya just can't plug in new coaches and expect instant success. The OC needs to know the OL coach and they have to be on the same page, same goes for RB, WR and QB coaches.
