That targeting and roughing call was a travesty.
Refs have completely inserted themselves into the outcome of the game.

The fact the refs saved their butts by saying it was described incorrectly and pulled the roughing call. They ended up getting the call correct but pissed off both fan bases in the process.

Waiving roughing / targeting was correct, but probably should have been grounding and a safety.

As an outsider looking in I completely agree. I was flabbergasted with the call in the first place. It felt like when they called it they were trying to get Alabama out of a tight spot. But after going through the slow mo it was definitely the right call to not call anything and say it was incomplete.
