I was checking out Jon's Tuesday Presser Day Links this afternoon and the link below originally stated that Iowa needed to be alone a top of the Big Ten standings to go to the Rose Bowl.

Big Ten football: Here's the Rose-y scenario for Big Ten contenders - chicagotribune.com

Of course we all know Iowa just needs Wisconsin to lose. I e-mailed Teddy Greenstein a friendly e-mail about the error and received an e-mail tonight.

"You're exactly right, Bret. We got it fixed for the web site.

Thanks for the note,
Teddy"

If you check the link now, the error has been fixed. Sometimes we get a bit over excited as fans and assume a member of the media dislikes our team or is sloppy. Instead I think more often than not journalists (who are people too) make mistakes and a considerate e-mail to point out the issue is well received and the problem is taken care of. Teddy is a nice guy for fixing the error and taking time to e-mail me personally about it.

He was pretty pro Iowa on the show tonight as well.

I noted his mistake and was surprised because he is really on top of Big Ten football more than any other college football writer in the midwest, imo.
I really do like his work. He agrees with me way more than most,as he really gets into the fabric of the league. He is anti-playoff,which I agree with. He has a lot of common sense, like Dinardo, who is also very good.
Chris Martin is off the rails a bit of late.

I liked that Teddy kept Ricky as his #5 Heisman choice and had Iowa making the Sugar Bowl vs Auburn in his picks for BCS bowls....let it happen, please!
