TCU-Baylor- Bad defense or just great offense??

Lots of great plays as I watched while listening to Eddie on Soundoff.

But really hard to watch the poor tackling etc. Both front sevens on defense just played like a matador waving his cape on running plays.

I don't know the answer, but it sure was fun to watch. Glad I'm not a fan of either, or I'd have probably thrown my remote through my tv screen.

These teams will get shut down by teams packing a defense. Especially Baylor.

^^ True, that usually happens. Especially these spread teams where they are used to weak defenses not hitting them.

When a Baylor gets in bowl game against an Alabama or LSU that hits receivers hard the receivers get the alligator arms.

TCU went into yesterday's game with a top-10 D, and that was after playing OU's offense. They've finished in the top-5 in total D several times in the past 8 years, including twice at #1. Gary Patterson is widely considered one of the premiere defensive minds in the country.

I don't think I've ever associated "bad defensive teams" with TCU. Not a great effort, but I definitely think it was more a spectacular offensive performance then "bad defense".
