I certainly wouldn't have minded to see him have a healthy tenure at the UofI.

I always thought that Tarp could have been a star at Iowa, unfortunately, injuries stifled his career. Very scary story, especially for a guy who was a true student-athlete, with top grades earning his accounting degree. His dad was in the FBI.. Tarp is another Hawkeye that the Bears should have grabbed.He would be starting the next 5 years for the Bears.

No doubt, he only started his senior season which was cut short by injury and then he either gets drafted or makes the patriots as a free agent.

The guy had/has all kind of talent, great combination of speed, size and agility from what little he played for the hawks. I remember he just destroyed a Mich kick returner/receiver in 2009 or 2010. Flew down the field , evaded or leaped over a blocker and just smashed the guy.

Whoa, we missed him the last half of 2010.
