Take a deep breath Hawk fans red zone woes the difference in blowout

We went to the red zone 5 times and scored 1 touchdown from outside of it.

Missing our #1 running back, and some poor execution cost us in the red zone.

Even going 2/5 to get into the endzone turns this game into a snoozer.

We outplayed them but we farted in the red zone all game.

McNutt after the game said they didn't have a good week of practice.

I think they got it out of their system.

I hope.

Agree! Possibly the biggest difference between this game and the last: taking advantages of opportunities.

Are you serious, Springsteen?

The problem is that we played really badly in every phase except defense. Or at least we didn't play well in any phase except defense.

That is a big difference from my first comment, so I want to be clear that what I mean is that we didn't play well in those other phases. Whether we played poorly or not is up for debate.

To make it sound like we should all rest easy because we won the game and it was almost a blowout is pure BS. Actually, it is a crock.

When it was 9-6 we had four trips to the redzone. Get a TD on two of them and at worse it's 17-6. Redzone offense was our undoing. I think it will be exponentially better next week with ARob back.

Yeah, I know that I will not rest easy this week! I'll be up in the morning for an extra workout and watching film of Northwestern all night.

Oh, I'm not on the team? Then maybe I'll just enjoy a win, because it sure as hell beats a loss no matter how it happens.

This team is still really good or they wouldn't be 7-2 with a blow out win over the number 5 team. Today they didn't play well (probably the worst they played all year and still won, thank God). The key is for the coaches to figure out why they played so bad and fix it. They will.

Hopefully we can do what Penn State did in the second half and beat down the Wildcats. They freaking deserve it for all the pain they've caused us the last few years (in both football and basketball).
