Tailgate Tunes...Playlist must have's?

Got very tired of reading about recruits, what happened last season, 2016 what ifs, season predictions, and other summertime filler and started thinking instead about partying and tailgating.

Iowa fight songs and Back in Black aside, what are some must haves on the tailgate playlist? When you add a Gn'R song do you go with "Paradise City" or "Welcome to the Jungle" or is it appropriate to put on both? Is it ok to listen to "In Heaven there is no Beer" pre-game?

I, for one, really enjoy tapping the keg and setting up the grill while watching the sun come up and listening to the Top Gun Theme...kick the tires and light the fires...

Love to hear everyone's thoughts...

As long as Head East's Never Been Any Reason is on it, it's all good.

Absolutely!

The Outlaws's "Green Grass & High Tides" is good. Verve's "Bitter Sweet Symphony" is primo if you plan on producing solo-mo highlight videos of your tailgate.

Never hurts to have songs that were popular during one's era at UI (for me, first half of 1980s).

Add some Nazareth's Hair of the Dog.

Also Joe Walsh's Funk # 49. Can't go wrong there.

All you need is Jock Jams, Volumes 1-5. Put in your 5-disc carousel cd changer and hit shuffle. You'll be the hit of the tailgate area.
