Great gameplan for the Hawks, great execution. LSU was tough, but they played into Iowa's hands in the 2nd half by taking the midrange shots that Iowa wanted them to take, and they just couldn't make enough of them.

And let's give LSU credit, players and coach gracious in the loss.

They were. Their wasn't any extra nothing with this game that some mighta thought there'd be. Multiple times each team helped the others get up off the floor. I think it was genuine and what I chalk that up to is BOTH teams are a yr older and more mature. After going through last yr I think these veteran teams just matured. Their was no wild over the top antics and Iowa didn't do any rubbing it in to them either. (Which woulda been tough for 44 yr old me to have not done so good for them)
