I like the match ups. If Illinois thought Northwestern had a stifling defense, wait until they get a taste of the Hawkeyes smothering defenders.

White will do a lot on both ends of the court and get off to a quick start.

Illinois can't shoot, they don't share the ball very well to get good shots, and they have no depth in the post.

Iowa by a dozen.

Oh, there could be more Iowa fans in attendance than in the past. (I hope)
 
I agree. Illinois doesn't match up well with us on paper. Wins in Champagne are hard to come by, however.
 
I've seen games earlier in the season when Illinois shot very well. If they get hot Iowa could be in trouble. We haven't always defended the 3 the way we should.

I don't expect this to happen though. I'm expecting and *** whoopin. Iowa 88-71

A lot of parity around the country. How many road game wins have there been in the big ten this year?
 
This is a must win game if we want to finish in the upper tier (top 3 or 4) of this league. We lose and I'm afraid we are looking at a 10-8 conference record which would put us in that 8-9 seed range we want to avoid. I'm not feeling good about this one because the Illini have lost 6 straight and REALLY need this game at home to right the ship. I hope I'm wrong but I forecast a 71-69 loss. We don't win the close ones.

So, if we lose this game, we will end up with 8 conference losses in the end. Got it.

Just my opinion. A loss at Illinois would mean we really aren't THAT good. It probably means we struggle to win more than a couple more road games and probably drop one or two more at home. We lose to the Illini and I forecast losses to Wisconsin, Michigan, at Indiana, at Minnesota, and at MSU. That's 8 losses. Got it?
 
I will get a little wound up for the Michigan and Michigan State games...very calm for the other 8. I don't get uptight about games we should win. I am surprised we're not favored by more...4.5 or 5 is the norm.
 
This one is cake. We barely get beat by highly ranked teams. Only lost by a couple to the # 4 team in the country on their floor!!! Then we kicked *** on the # 3 team.
