Suck On That, Iowa!

Buble vs. McCabe at Wrestlemania with Shawn Michaels and Triple H as guest referees. Loser has to suck a big fat one.
 
What's funny is they are eating it up.
I have become convinced every person on tour in any business always #1 gives a shout out to where they are.#2 I think they do it because all venues and all towns start to look the same after awhile. So they do it to be personable and well received, but also so they can remember where the **** they are for a few minutes before they are off to the next stop.
 
Man, if Nebraska football is cheering like that for bashing Iowa that program has fallen to lows that were not imaginable 20 years ago. Not to take anything away from our program, but it must suck going from playing Oklahoma in the de facto conference title game for a shot at Miami or someone great in the Orange Bowl every year and a guaranteed top 10 finish, possibly national title, to having Iowa as your "rival" in a pivotal game to determine who might get an Outback Bowl berth.
 
We have a new tradition. Nebraska fans gloat for 10 months leading up to the game with Iowa. Iowa fans gloat for two months after the game.
 
Buble' was in Des Moines last night and said, "It's great to be in the great state of Iowa tonight. I did have one question for you. Has the Iowa football team been able to scrape the Nebraska stench off the bottom of their shoes? I know it's been four years since the stomping began."

They have fallen from grace. And quite frankly it does provide a solid argument for the jackboots among our fan-base who think no coach in FB/BB should ever be fired. They think anyone with high-expectations should root for another team and we think anyone who is okay with irrelevancy fits better among the Cyclone fanbase.
I've learned to enjoy the heated debates. They are quite entertaining.

It's actually worse than that....when was the last time nebby went to a bowl game, let alone the outback? 2012? They more or less have become Iowa St on our schedule. It's a game worth bragging rights and nothing more.

There's a decent chance they will improve, maybe even a good one. Still the hole they've fallen into is a deep one. The teams in the West might not be the greatest, but It's still a tough schedule to get through.
