Such an up and down team....can't let Minny walk into Carver and beat you

Unless a miracle happens........

Just looked like a fumbling, stumbling effort all the way around. Credit Minny, they were tougher tonight....seemed more determined to. Stink bomb of a loss and at home no doubt.

This team has a serious lack of heart. It's been a problem for two years now. No leaders and get them down and they give up.

I'm 100% serious when I say they give up. In nearly every loss this season that has been the case. When the going is good they are fine, but once their backs get up against the wall and a run is make they fold like a tent.

It's getting really old.

I don't think its a lack of heart. I think its a lack of talent. MG has improved by this team still lacks a floor leader to take over when the team is off like it was tonight. It goes way beyond him though. But just like a QB, when a team lacks a PG, it just amplifies everything else.

How the **** can you say Iowa gave up that game? That's stupid. We're a flawed team. At best we're probably a 7-10 seed and 7-10 seeds lose to Minnesota's some times. Everyone will be sad and then we'll probably play well the next 2-3 games before we lose again.

7-10 seeds don't lose at home to a squad who was 3-20 in conference roads games the past two seasons.

Look at Iowa's losses this season. They get down and just fold. Outside the Syracuse game none of those losses involved comebacks.

Like I said the North Florida coach pegged this team saying they lack confidence when they get down. How many comeback wins does Iowa have this season? Once they start reeling they just stumble and fall over and don't get back up.

Teams who beat good teams and then randomly lose to not as good teams is, like, the very definition of a 7-10 seed.

Iowa can't afford these type of losses if they want to make the NCAA's this late in the season. They've already had their share of losses that were winnable.

Northern Iowa and Purdue come to mind as ones they could have taken but didn't. Granted once team is really good and the other is playing well, but the way they lose is frustrating.

I can accept losing but Minnesota didn't exactly play well tonight either. Neither did the teams I mentioned above when Iowa played them.

I disagree on the lack of heart. First half was poor all around. bad turnovers and poor shooting all game, bad decisions. But this team showed heart and never gave up.

In Iowa's defense, they don't really play home games. Judging by the Carver atmosphere, they are more like neutral court games.

Also, the last Minnesota game was a comeback. We were down 4 points late.

Our fans our brutal. They aren't remotely loud and then say dumb things after we lose.

It's just impossible to get energized and be loud from your ***. One person sits down and the whole arena looks like domino's.

The real problem is lack of a guy who can creat shots for others.

When a team is playing you that close and aggressive on D you have to be able to take it around them and turn that pressure into opportunity. Iowa just doesn't have a guy that can do that.

If you cant beat trapping D you get stuck and turn it over which is what happened.

Not a forgivable loss tonight, period folks.

MN isn't making the Dance....hell look at their remaining schedule, they still gotta play WI twice.....

playing .500 from here on out won't get it done unless we want to go to the NIT. Northwestern will not be easy

Our crowd set up is pathetic. I don't blame the students for not showing either. Their seats suck. I tried standing 20 times from row 6 n no one in front ever did. Right behind was hit or miss. There is so much dead space at carver it's ridiculous. But hey, we can all shuffle out of those double wide aisles like no other. Oh wait, not when I'm following the blue hairs down low. There was seriously a ******* 12ish year old kid sleeping right in front of me...row 5 bb. As much as ppl ***** about Kirk Ferentz n the kinnick atmosphere, spare me, what Fran has to work with at carver is pathetic. Somehow that **** needs to change. God forbid ppl stand for more than 2 minutes....
