Students get in free for UNI...

Any chance this fills the entire student section? I can't believe the students are this apathetic that they have to do this. Are they going to start handing out twenty dollar bills to get them to come next game?

When this type of gimmick, along with others (canvassing the frats/sororities for business, $1 hot dog night) disappear, you'll know we have a winning program once again.

The students are pretty pathetic in general as far as basketball goes. Even the ones that show up don't do anything. I gave up on sitting in the student section, because all they do is boo occasionally, and yell "SUCKS!" after each starter for the opponent is announced. I'd rather they kept quiet than be THAT lame. Since I pretty much have my choice of seating, I sit wherever I want.

Wow, that chant is pathetic and lame.

So... this thread should've been called "the b**ch about the students tread?" It sucks that not enough people care about basketball right now but there's no need to tear down the moral of the student section even more.

The students were loud and into the game - they made a difference. Of course, if you had gone to the game, you would have realized that. It was a good environment tonight.

Some of these whiners on this board really ought to go to the game - heck, I walked right up and bought a ticket before tipoff. There are plenty of tickets.

Buy a ticket and support your team!!

I'm just making an observation. I've seen high school student sections that were both louder and more creative (The Fishtank at St. Edmond is always good, and Pella Christian had a really large and loud section my senior year). I'm just not a fan of going to the game to heckle the opponent (at least not for that reason only), which has been the typical M.O. of the student section in my 2+ years on campus.
