As a side note, Iowa City West High sophomore Rachel Saunders visited Iowa for yesterday's game and spoke with coaches afterward. She is the daughter of former Iowa WR/RB Mike Saunders.

Rob do you have any stats or position she plays. I can't find anything. Would appreciate it. The Lady Hawks got off to a bad start against Maryland. Missed some bunnies to start the game to get off to a fast start. The Hawks were very uncertain with what they were supposed to be doing. Just were not on the same page with each other. There were some bright spots for the Hawks. Whitney Jennings can shoot very well and I don't think they took full advantage of that and we got Maryland in foul trouble. Maryland's Jones is a load to handle and I thought Megan did a pretty good job. This young Hawkeye team needs to just keep working and cut down on those turn overs and good things will happen. I'm very excited to watch this team for the rest of the year to see how they progress. Hang in their Lady Hawks. GO HAWKS!!
