On paper this could be the best DE combo we’ve ever had, my guess is it could be one of the best in the country next year.
DTs aren’t overly exciting just yet, but Ced and Reiff have plenty of experience and should be solid. If Nixon is really Alabama good this group could take it to the next level. If you have a guy creating consistent havoc on the inside it’s going to be tough for an offense to account for that and AJE on the outside.
Hoping Waggoner, ZVV, and Shannon can provide depth to keep guys fresh.
Was interesting hearing Bell talk about the continuity and chemistry the group last year had. They always knew where they were supposed to be and played their assignment. Maybe some are underestimating that because outside of Nelson none of those guys jumped off the page talent wise.
The other key thing is it is likely linebacker play is going to be improved. We were young there last year, but now have guys with plenty of experience.

Really like Kelvin Bell and think he is going to do a great job. Filling some big shoes but not thinking there will be a dropoff. Well spoken, confident guy and pretty sure he is gonna have their full attention. Great hire.

Morgan's retirement isn't a surprise. They have had plenty of time to transition to Bell.
