3star recruit that is 6’4” and 210. Hmmm, I can’t help but wonder that if he isn’t a speed burner he goes the TE route as his best avenue to the NFL. Get him to coach Doyle.

If he is a speed demon... at 6’4” ... we probably have very little chance.

If he's 210 now...I guarantee you Iowa sees him as a tight end eventually. I think Kittle came in at 210 or 215 if I remember correctly. Fant wasn't that much bigger I don't believe.

Brandon Smith was listed at 6-3, 205 by Iowa on signing day. He's now listed at 218.

He might end up at TE. He might not.

Not every kid that's 6'4 200ish can grow to 240ish and maintain or improve upon their speed and quickness. It's an inexact science at predicting those things. This staff is pretty good at molding the clay that is these recruits though. Iowa is as good as anyone else at that and finding what their best fit usually is. Gallery was a 240 lb TE to start. Clark was a LB. Kittle and on and on that list can go.
