Nice read. Yes his distance was his biggest negative and perhaps elevating the ball but I dont think he had troubles with blocks. It is good to have the distance but remember Fry had several years where his short fg kickers were very accurate but not long and Fry used a longer kicker to good effect usually. It would be hard to be the longer kicker as your make % would be lower and tough on the psyche.
Duncan has shown the guts to make that big kick at a young age so I am rooting for him to have an excellent spring and autumn practice and see where the competition ends up.
