STORY: Hawks in the NFL Week 3

Josh Jackson looks like he has put on some size. I am a little surprised there hasn't been more interest in CJ based on his preseason and regular season performance from last year. There are so many places where he would be an upgrade in my opinion.

I was actually surprised that Beathard was not released at the end of pre-season, since it seemed to be clear he had been demoted to 3rd string and NFL teams don't normally carry 3 QB's. Beathard's stats were decent in pre-season, but so were the 2nd string QB Nick Mullens, and Mullens had a better record as a starter in 2018. But Kyle Shanahsn must have some special reason holding on to CJ, because right now he is just taking up a roster spot and never playing.

Maybe the 49ers are waiting for more injuries to hit the QB position league wide, which they will. That could increase CJB's value on the trade market. Who knows, maybe Jimmy G ends up going down.

From a non-financial standpoint, I wonder if Noah wishes he'd stayed. Pretty confident he wishes he'd been drafted by someone else, at least.

Broncos are a bad team. Bad offense. HC is a defense guy (whose D is worse this year). Mediocre and fading QB.

I've only seen the 1st half of 1 of their games (1st / Raiders), but what I saw was him being used as a traditional, blocking and short passes TE. He had more penalties called against him that game (3) than catches (2). Seems pretty clear he'd be a better fit as a "receiving" TE.

Some might say he's "in a world of suck".

He would really fit better in a specialist type role.
