Gabriel Rubio's dad, Angel Rubio, played in the NFL and now fights fires. The '21 STL DT hopes to follow in his father's footsteps, athletically and professionally.

But first, he'll visit the Hawkeyes for their junior day this weekend.

This kid has the look of a legitimate high 4* type prospect. Three visits in 6 months is a great start and if he is serious about building a relationship you have to like where the Hawkeyes sit.

Hard to get too excited about 2021 class but can you imagine T.J. Bollers and Rubio headlining the 2021 class. That’s two big time Dline prospects.

I’d also throw Bettendorf’s Griffin Little in there. I saw him play at Iowa City West during the playoffs last season. Really athletic interior player. He also wrestles. His dad wrestled at Iowa.
