Stop focusing on the last two minutes....

The Wisconsin game wasn't lost in the last two minutes...when we went up 9 in the second half there were several possessions where our defense got stops and we either fired a quick three, turned it over, or took a terrible shot that had no business going in. That is where this game was lost. I'm a huge Fran fan, but when you have a nine point lead with 8 minutes left and your motion offense is getting great looks, how can he allow a quick shot by McCabe. I know McCabe hit a three a minute earlier, but that was within the offense...that other three was in transition and it gave the ball back to Wisky without taking time off the clock and making sure the shot was within the flow of the offense.

We could have been up 13-15 points. Those possessions are absolutely critical. You knew Wisky would make the run...and we didn't have enough margin for our typical meltdown. This team is gaining experience, I'll say that. They are going to be very good and our defense has made incredible strides, except for the occasional breakdown at critical times.

In absence of a true go to guy at the end of a game...Iowa better ensure they get there with a cushion. I'd rather see us focus on getting the ball down low to White or let him drive than let JO or MG launch threes. At least you have a shot at a foul.
