Stone Cold Lock!

I'd go so far as to say iowa is a lock for a top 7 seed. Playing best basketball of the season at the end and a truly enviable road record puts iowa in a position for a decent matchup as well in the second round.
 
Iowa need to go deep in the BTT now and get up to a 6 seed and get away from the 1 or 2 in the second round. They get up to 6 and have a really good chance for a sweet 16 bid

When's the last time we've won 7 road games? I've spent most of my life assuming a loss because Iowa was playing away from Iowa City.
 
I just don't get the 8/9 seed. With all the road and Top 50 wins, it would be a travesty to be stuck on the 8/9 line.
 
Calling it now, baby -- a win against NU is another stone, cold lock. NO WAY these guys lose to those bastards at home.

Agree. I think the team has some BIG TIME revenge waiting for the cats in Carver. Dolphin interviewed Uthoff after the game and at the end said something to the effect of "go get Northwestern Sat., and Uthoff replied "Looking forward to it." But not how like say Dustin Hoffman would say it. More like the way Clint Eastwood would say it. :cool:

No doubt we had some clone trolls but we also had some in our own fan base talking about replacements for Fran earlier this year. They were dogging Fran and they know who they are. Dogging his coaching, demeanor, recruiting, substitutions,,,,,, longing for the Lick days.

Well the bandwagon has left the station my friends.

Hope you're right. Would be nice if that could somehow happen next fall too.
 
Feels so nice to not have to sweat it out on selection Sunday. Very pleased with the team's performance this season, and Fran has really toned it down. This team has been solid in the second half during conference play, and haven't let a small deficit snowball like last season. Lots of clutch play all around, and a good coaching job by Fran. I really hope Iowa plays in Omaha because I would definitely go watch that in person.

Oh there will still be LOTS of sweating it out...region/seed/opponents/etc. Its the good kind of sweat though. Good for the Seniors too, really deserve it

A win against NW and there's no chance Iowa is on the 8/9 line. Even with a 1st round exit in the BTT. No way.
 
It seems like Iowa often times gets under seeded in post season tournaments. I want them to win out so there is no way the committee can put them in at anything less than a 7.
