What a pathetic performance today. That said, we've seen what the team is capable of over the past month. No reason to write off the season after this game. I figure it's better to go one and done now than to do it next week. Frustrating, no doubt, but gotta keep the faith (for at least one week).

Yeah, but unless the committee decides it wants to be generous and give us a 7 seed, we'll probably end up on the 8/9 line now, which of course means a far smaller chance of making the Sweet 16.

Today was a VERY costly loss.

Still hoping for a 7 seed and IF they can get out of the first round play Gonzaga. That's about all the optimism I have right now though. The pessimist in me thinks Iowa gets an 8 seed in Kentucky's bracket

As would I, but I get the feeling we're going to see our name pop up in the game right next to Kentucky on Sunday.. I think Iowa could beat MOST teams, but not sure they can take out someone like UK. I too would take a 10/11 seed instead of the 8/9.

Winning 1 more game than last year won't get us a seed that's 4 better than last year so a 7 is out. The good news is the hawks almost always get scewed and get 1 or 2 seeds lower than they're projected. Maybe we can fall to a 10.

That's a fact. Penn State is garbage and don't tell me about the close losses this season. They are not a good basketball team at all.

This team once again needs to decide how far theywant to go. As we have seen, when they come out aggressive and play to win they can play with anybody. When they play like today they can lose to anybody. When the guards can't make a shot to save their lives I don't understand why Fran doesn't keep driving to the basket with kickouts to White and Uthoff. Kick out a few to JO and Jok. JO seems to shoot 3's better when wide open from what I can tell. We shouldn't have to beg our guards to shoot 33%.

The committee considers a team's entire body of work...so...one game isn't going to completely screw us.

With that said, a win over PSU and then Purdue, with a good showing vs Wisky would have helped us a ton.

It was a lost opportunity to be sure.

Fran already got one T for leaving the coaches box. He would have been ejected for sure if he tried driving to the basket.
