IF and of course this is a giant IF he leads us to scoring drivers against Arizona and Wisconsin he is #2 in the Heisman behind Newton right now.

Stanzi needs 11 TD passes to tie Tate for second best at Iowa, which would also be a tie for 11th best in B10 history for a career

well if he can average 5 TDs per game (including bowl game) he can 1 up Chuck Long for the record 
But since we don't play the pistol or the spread, I think surpassing Drew Tate to become #2 isn't such a bad feat either. He would need 2.4 TD's per game average to accomplish becoming the sole number two in that category.

Ferentz appears to have a great deal of respect for Stanzi, but do you think he even considers factors like this when making game decisions? Meaning, if Ricky is 2 or 3 TD's away from the 11 TD goal and we're up "big" in the 4th quarter on the Gophers...does Ferentz leave him in the game? I don't think he does, just curious about what others think.

There are a lot of Top 5 Heisman contender lists out. It's a two-horse race between Newton and James. Newton has a big lead IMO. But why would Luck from Stanford be on these lists and not Stanzi? Stanzi's stats are better in every phase (I suppose except for rushing as AL has 345 yrds on the season- whoop-t-doo).
What you mean is, . . . . . If we make all extra-points against Arizona and Wisc, thus being undefeated, . . . .

Don't think he does. If we're up big against any remaining opponent in the 3rd or 4th quarters we're running the ball to run out the clock. With luck, at that point Vandernberg would get some PT and his Mom some CT (camera time).
