Thank you for posting the comments and the fact it is on now. Solid overall.
It is nice that they finally gave Stanzi a chance with a line that wasn't just signed. I was hoping to see what he could do with the 2nd team.
Articles I've read basically said backup was Palko, which makes sense because the KC offense hasn't done much with anybody at QB. Not that I thought Stanzi would be amazing with the 2nd team O, but at least give him a chance. Hopefully they are thinking twice now.
It is amazing what a difference it makes when it isn't 3 step drop and sacked. He had a great ball that would have added 30-40 yards to the total that called back for holding too.
He recovered from that dropped ball to hit on a 23 yard pass on 3rd and 13, and had them moving, then the running back fumbles. Next drive he moved them down but the KC coaching staff ran three straight times for a three and out...nuts.
Ricky's arm has looked strong and accurate tonite, when he finally was given some time. This has to do wonders for his confidence after those last two games of running for his life.
The chiefs fans are loving them some Stanzi. I said it a couple weeks ago. They were very cool to this draft pick. But after having seen him play, especially last night, they are sold. And to the earlier poster, yes the Chiefs will have 3 QBs. Cassel, Stanzi, and someone else. Palko is the one auditioning for a job. The only question is, will Stanzi be the 2 or 3?
