In the first of our spring football position series, we look at quarterback. Ken O’Keefe returns to take over a young group of signal callers:

I hope that Stanley can hit the ground running with BF and KOK calling the shots. He should have a better then good Oline and running game. Having 2nd down and 4 or less would only help. So now it’s a matter of what TEs and receivers will he latch onto. I’ll start with TEs since they should be his security blanket. Will Wisnewski stay healthy and get to play and make an impact for his last year? I’d love to see Wisnewski get to put it all together and lead the young group. But I’m not holding my breath for that. I think Fant/Hockenson are the future. Very near future of that position. Wieting and Pekar are just blockers from what we’ve seen of them pretty much. Beyer it sounds like has put a few lbs on and is running at TE too. I was kinda hoping he’d stay at around 215ish and play WR to help that group. No matter how you slice it they have a deep group of athletic TEs that KOK will be eager to use. They got away from that last yr even though Kittle had a handful of TDs he wasn’t quite the game changer he could have been. (partially due to being nicked up but largely due to Davis)

This article says KF never had a assistent that was a QB coach only, but Chuck Long was the QB coach in KF's first season.

I thought he was the DB coach as well the first year. He was the QB coach in '99. Thanks for the good memory. Mine's not the best.
