Some Questions I have for next year’s team:
1. Will Tucker be back and will he and Brust be able to handle running the point for a few minutes each game to give Cully some rest? In a related question, is Iowa still actively recruiting Kaylon Williams for next year’s team?
2. What kind of contributions will the 4 incoming freshman be able to make?
3. Will Cole and Fuller see more an emphasis to pound the ball inside, thus giving them more of a chance to contribute in the offense?
4. Will Eric May become our lock down defender and consistently be assigned to the opposing team’s primary scoring guard/forward?
5. Can Gatens develop some type of dribble drive game and take advantage of his awesome free throw shooting by getting to the line more often?
6. Will Iowa’s drastically improved depth lead to fresher legs at the end of the game and ultimately translate into more wins in some closer games?
7. Can Iowa improve enough to get enough wins (17-19) to qualify for some type of post season tournament?
I am definitely seeing progress made by this team in the last few weeks, and I am hoping that the incoming recruiting class along with the return of Tucker and Archie give Iowa enough quality players to realistically approach 17 to 19 wins.
