The conflicting reports of Texas staying and Texas going are...BOTH right.

Notice "Texas has agreed to the current plan entailing a TEN MEMBER Big 12"...and UT knows that Texas AM is gone they've wanted the SEC for a long time...so now Texas can say "Well we tried to agree and hold it together but TAMU decided to leave and crush the conference"...then Texas will bolt to the PAC10...it's all a ploy by UT...bank it.

I totally agree with this, and if somehow A&M comes back to the Big 12 idea, Texas will keep the rumors about OU to the SEC going, and eventually leave for the Pac-10 because of all the "uncertainty" with the other schools. They will blame everyone for being uncommitted.

Texas would be stupid to leave the Big 12. Why would they? They have all the power and make most of the money.

This is all posturing on their part. They tried a power play to keep Nebraska under their thumb and lost. They may or may not succeed in this latest attempt with the rest of the conference.
