Some Good News: Jordan Oladokun

No matter what you think of what happened in the program, the fact that they were able to keep him in the fold after all of the negative news speaks volumes. I wish this young man the best and hope he is the next great Hawkeye cornerback!

When he de-committed, I fully admit I didn't see this being the end result.

Good on the program and him for working through it and coming together. The reconnection is unusual.

I dont know how much this young man was originally leaning toward Iowa then started to shy away but maybe some info that got him to move away from Iowa did not come through. Then maybe he thought the hawk coaches were the guys talking straight with him.

I am fine with his decision to re-think his original commitment. With his decision to ultimately choose to be a Hawkeye, I think he has made the right choice. Welcome!

Out with the old and in with the new. Hmmmmm???

Someone may have taken some weight off of his shoulders. I doubt if that was it but you never know what was bothering him.

Iowa's 21 Recruiting Class is

No. 11 in Rivals team rankings and the 247 Rankings

These are fluid but this is a very important class for the Hawkeyes.

I haven't seen you ask for questions for a podcast in a while, can't say I blame you. But if you are going to have one soon I'd like to ask your thoughts on the lack of impact the recent news has had on the recruiting class. I figured Iowa would lose a few recruits and I'm surprised that they haven't.

I did one last week. Some of it was answering questions about why I still have a job.

I will shoot for Wednesday again this week.

Why would we lose recruits, Iowa handled things very given prior and recent history of the athletic department. Usually we piss down our own leg and we blame it on the rain. We actually did something right for a change, I am thinking how we handled things might actually help in recruiting.

Because of all the negative publicity it got, I'm sure there were recruiters from competing schools using this information to try and lure recruits away. At the end of the day it could wind up being a net positive.

I respect you for having the courage to print articles that addressed tough situations having to do with accusations regarding racism.

In the past I have commented from time to time how soft the Iowa sports media has been on Iowa athletics.

I thought at times the jury was somewhat out on you but not anymore. Why you still have a job??? What Pollyanna world do some of these people live in??? I think you deserve a raise and/or a promotion.

I sure as hell did not see this coming either. Feels good that a Black recruit wanted back into the family after looking around, especially in all of what Iowa football has been experiencing. A hopeful sign that the genuineness of KF as a good human being -- even if flawed at times -- comes through.
