The NBA was riding a good popularity wave after last season..I think that by starting this year on Christmas and shrinking the regular season, they will keep pushing that bar and bringing people back.

Actually, Vince Carter had hit a 3 just before this to give Dallas the lead. It was a good game to watch.

If I am truly bored, I will watch sketches of a Bulls game, but I now have almost zero interest in the NBA.

I don't understand how people can like college basketball but not the NBA (aka better basketball). I think people have preconceptions about the game that turns them off too it however if they sat and watched a majority of the season they would find it's not there.
Like the lack of fundamentals, the fact that traveling is never called (true to an extent but it is called quite often, I enjoy the fact that it isn't called if a player doesn't gain an advantage from a travel) and that players don't even try to play defense (just not true of the good teams).
The only downfall of the NBA is unimportance of the regular season due to so many NBA teams making the playoffs and the lack of unpredictability, which was not the case in last years playoffs.
The NBA is pretty much one of the best things ever.

I think I might have a little more interest this year. With the short season and fewer games they might give 75% effort instead of 60%.

Im going to be sad come the 9th when the free trial of the league pass is up. Not sad enough to pay for it but i have enjoyed the free trial.
