How do teams get into the Preseason NIT?
I know it's by invitation (obviously), but I would guess you have to not be committed to another tournament that year.
Is the preseason NIT set up in advance a few years? Do you have to request to be considered? Do they do some kind of process where the conference favorite or one of the favorites gets to be the conference representative?
Appears Iowa has only played in it once (1990).
Always has a pretty good field, and I would like to see Iowa be the Big Ten rep one of these years.
