So The Question Is...

So the question is should we root for Minnesota to keep on winning or not. Obviously them losing helps solidify our 6th seed in the B10, but them winning will also increase our RPI. So what is more important: Getting the 6th seed in the tournament or having a higher RPI?

I could be wrong but I would say beat OSU and lose to PSU, Neb and Purdue. Indy is toss up though I lean for the finishing with a 4 game losing streak

Both of those are important..

Minnesota's RPI is going to remain high even with losses to Ohio State and Indiana. I see very little chance Minny beats either of those teams. Will their heart still be in it for trips to Nebraska and Purdue?

It benefits Iowa to get the 6 seed, so best case is Minny loses to OSU and Indiana, wins 2 of its last 3, Iowa wins 4 of 5 and gets the 6 seed.

They also get both Nebraska and Purdue on Senior Day. That's always a tough one. The home team and crowd tend to get way up for Senior Day. I posted elsewhere that Minnesota would lose their next 2 and then win out. I think they lose at least 1 of these 2 games...due to lack of interest and Senior Day.

I want Minny to lose a couple of more games as long as their RPI doesn't go above 25 so Iowa gets credit for the top 25 RPI victory. It's too complicated to tell who and where those loses should be but we want Iowa to also finish ahead of Minny in the Big Ten standings. Certainly would like Minny to beat Ohio State, that would also help Iowa in several ways.
