So CBSsports has cable-ized the Final Four-what has this world come to

Right after the hawks men and women exited the tourneys I suspended my Directv. I figure at $100 a month and with just a bunch of crap channels on I will have it turned on just in time for Hawk football.

then today I see the national semi-final games are on TBS, cripes sake. TBS must have paid CBS a ton and CBS gets to still show 48 Hours, whoopee.

Oh well, I will have to go over to a buddies house or we can go to a bar (although the house is cheaper).

About the only thing I would watch on cable much until June is some golf on the golf channel and a bunch of Stanley Cup Hockey and NBC will actually have some hockey on network broadcast.

I cant wait until the day I can call in or use the internet to pay $2 bucks or whatever just for a show I want and leave the other crap behind.

i hear ya - i dropped dtv/cable as well - they are really forcing hands putting this stuff on tbs - but i'm 'standing fast' and not playing their games any longer. crap not to be able to watch - radio on! :)

CBS paid a gazillion dollars for the TV rights might as well try and maximize their return.

You don't have to pay for cable to watch. Download the NCAA app on any phone, tablet, or watch on a computer.

dean - i did this last year and there was a time limit - watching it live on tbs - of course my minutes ran out long before the final 4/finals! :) not sure about this year - honestly - the radio is good enough - with wife prepping Easter meal. wine bottle about to be uncorked.....

Oh wow, I didn't realize that. Good to know, and thx for the heads up

watching wisc online now - did a little research on time limits - here might be a good idea to get around if you are up against a time limit -

But remember there's a time limit. Use Incognito Browsing in Chrome, to watch as much as you want

Incognito browsing huh? Sounds useful.

I think my daughter used Kodi for Iowa's first round game.

I will look into it but tell us more.

Check out Sling TV, I signed up before March madness at $25/mo, no contract. I get live TV including- ESPN, espn2, ESPN U, SEC network, couple other sports, History, H2, TBS, TNT, HGTV, AMC, A&E, IFC, Travel Channel, ABC family and others.

Must have a decent internet connection though. And they have added channels for free since I've joined.

I'm not a fan of putting the later rounds on cable (I have DirecTV, but the FF should be on CBS), but it was a brilliant move for the first weekend. I love being able to seen any game whenever I want, rather than having to defer to whatever CBS wants to feature like how it was before.
