I hope so, if not, I'm afraid Iowa is in deeper trouble than we thought.

Why do people seem to think that the new coach has to have roots in this program? I'd rather have someone that is totally disconnected.

I don't think having roots in the program is a requirement. Something new and fresh would be nice, though.

If we're only looking for someone with roots in the program, I'd say that narrows down the field of possible coaches alot more than has to be.
