Wow, was he great tonight against the Hoosiers. Unbelievable.

Really, the whole team was fantastic. Poised and polished. What a win.

Props to AC I've been a huge critic, to the point where I doubted if he could compete at this level, but for the last half of the season he has been very good.

Clemmons was great tonight. Terrific defensively and I no longer cringe when he handles the ball, hit a huge three too that gave us momentum back.

Clemmons has been our rock defensively all-year-long. But not to go unnoticed, is his movement Both with & without the ball on offense... He has been huge for the Hawks in many ways that do not get the spot light. He has been a consistent player with his all-around game. Much of which will not show on the stat sheet. Fran saw that when he picked him out of Michigan. Good choice. We wouldnt be where we are without him.

There are many pieces to this Team's puzzle, and those pieces can be interchangeable... Down the stretch we continue, with the Big Shows coming up quickly. This has and will be fun to see!

On Iowa!

Did Gesell tweek his injured arm sometime in the second half? Came back to the bench later in the half and looked like he was hanging his arm. Just wondered because he saw little playing time in the last 5 minutes or so and Clemmons finished things out for the most part. Clemmons had more game minutes than Gessell.......wonder how many times that has happened this season?

Wasn' like Gesell was having a bad game. Clemmons performed well no doubt.

I don't know about the elbow injury but Gesell picked up his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half which contributed to his minutes being down a little. And Clemmons was playing well.

Clemmons has taken a big step forward this year giving us a strong backup at the point. Hopefully he continues to work to get to an even higher level next year.

Maturity is a hell of a thing in sports.

I think it is one of the best parts of watching college athletics. You can just see when the talent and the experience all come together and it just starts to click for a kid. I always feel so excited for the guys when it starts to happen for them. They put in a lot of work to play a sport that we all enjoy watching, so it is great it when all starts paying off for them.

Then you have the added fun of a White going from a good player to a first team All B1G type player. He has REALLY stepped up his game at the end of the season, much like Gatens did a few years ago.

I'll be the first to admit that there was a time where I didn't think AC was bringing much to the table, but not the case now. He's been very solid, and even scoring some, too. So I'm starting to feel better about our back court for next season.

I have to say - AC's three last night was huge. IU had cut it to 5, and the crowd was into it. That was a key play. I don't recall IU really threatening much again after that.

I love his defense, his intensity, and how he drives to the rim. Hitting a 3 (like last night) is a bonus to me. I am very glad he dedicated the off-season to becoming a better player, and didn't transfer.

The AC story should be told to any kid who is recruited into the Iowa fold. When his playing time dropped in his soph year, he went to Fran and had an honest conversation, did not transfer, dedicated himself to improve in the areas Fran told him about, got into the best physical shape he could, and mentally committed himself to be a better player. Good example of the kind of kid we want to have as Hawkeye.

Reminds me a lot of what Basabe went through as well his sophomore year. Very refreshing to see a kid refuse to quit on the situation and put in the work to change his own destiny.

I also have been a big critic of AC and he's starting to make a believer out of me that he's turning this around. Step up big AC and GO HAWKS!!!!!
