Since our team stinks, I want to talk about uniforms

I want our 2010 throwbacks to be our full time uni's. The only change I want to make is to change the numbers on the helmets into a black tigerhawk.

I agree, those uniforms are #1. Like you said, though, definitely change the numbers on the helmet to a black tigerhawk. The tigerhawk is iconic, and should never change. But the uniform is not iconic. If the Hawkeyes were the Pittsburgh Steelers then they would be iconic, and unchangable. And just maybe, however small of a difference it would make, a uniform change could help with recruiting, or at least just bring SOMETHING fresh to a program that is stalling right now.

Well said. We are not the Steelers and there is no reason we can't change to a uniform that would be more completely "ours".
