Should ask Fran what he thinks of B1G officiating

Instead of asking about the eye poking incident, IMO, we'd find more about Fran's inner thinking if someone asked his opinion about B1G officiating. Probably a fine for Fran, unfortunately, if he expounded.

These are apparent preferences of the Iowa staff: Most Iowa players are slim. Most Iowa players can't handle physical pressure offensively or defensively (except Gabe, for sure, and most recently Woody?).

This could be part of the reason for Frans reaction to questions about the latest eye poke from Dolph and the press conference immediately after the game. I think he thought that it was so ridiculous that the refs went back and made that call that he felt if he commented on it, it could be construed in such a way that he was bagging on the refs, which could get him the fines. Hence, he told Dolph to "move on" and told the report to ask "an intelligent question" cause he knew he couldn't/shouldn't comment on the officiating. Merely speculation though.
