I wish it was Bobby Hanson though I'm not sure even he could make these guys good shooters. To some extent, you either got it or you don't.
 
I think they need a psyche coach. Team is way too tight some times, and confidence only seems to show up during a run or a crowd swell. Just too fickle. And it even effects their free throw shorting during a bad run, just no mental resilience.

They need more than a shooting coach. They need someone to develop post play and grind it out down low. It is hard to run the motion offense if you struggle setting screens and don't have any inside presence. Gabe is our only player even wanting to post up down low. Iowa cannot win without transition since they also do not have a player that can consistently drive to the hole or create their own shot. All the offense is doing now is settlling for jump shots with players who cannot shoot consistently.

You can't feed the post for 40 minutes straight if you don't hit some 3's. This isn't high school.

Having an inside presence will create open looks for the shooters. It is easier to hit a 3 with an inside/outside game than just running around in the motion offense with lousy screens.
 
I'll ask again... which Iowa coach is watching the shooting form of our players and reminding them of whatever it is they should be reminded of during the game? Man, our guys shoot inconsistantly!
