Shall we rant or shall we cheer (OSU)

Duh. Here are a few thoughts - what are yours?

I used paragraphs so as not to overwhelm you

This is was one of those historic program wins. The surprise, the excitement the euphoria. Few games (maybe none) have been like this. Here are those that come to mind, what are yours?

1981? Nebraska (not on TV), Iowa’s win over UCLA same year (I attended that one), 1990 Iowa’s win at Illinois, 2002 Iowa at Michigan, 2004 Ohio State. Maybe bowl win against Texas -Freedom Bowl That’s about it, Not sure if those do it justice – your thoughts?

As I watched I immediately thought – the offense has broken out. They are hitting those passes – and look! There are holes to run through!

Iowa should have held them to 17 but the punter got cute and ran instead of punting in the 4Q. The Defense is really playing well ! KF had a few words with the punter – did you see that?

After the last 3 weeks I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, I resolved to not watch live. Fool me once shame you, fool me twice shame on me... Then by the end of the week, I’m ready to watch the hawks again. Rinse repeat.

Midweek I had this odd feeling that Iowa was going to beat OSU. Of course that was sentimental hogwash. But it did not go away.

Game time came, I listened to the game and let my son have the remote and he watched ND and NC State. Eventually we turned it on,.

I lost my voice screaming.

Hope the new found sense of ‘lets have fun’ is going to carry this team through the last 3 weeks with a hungry sense of urgency that destroys Wiscy, Purdue (the hated rival) and of course Nebraska.

Nebraska fans must have watched in horror at this game

Any Hawkeye rout is fun, but to do it against the program that has caused so much Iowa pain was just sweet.

For what was at stake plus a nail biter finish it's hard to beat 1985 #1 Iowa vs. #2 Michigan. Epic game and high times for the Hawks.

Nebraska fans experienced enough horror in their own game.

I'm gunna rant.

First off, we couldn't cover opponents fumbles for shit. When you go 0 for 2 you probably don't deserve to win.

Stanley showed us why we don't do qb sneaks anymore. What a joke of an effort that was by him. I suppose he will probably still win Big 10 offensive player of the week in a landslide, but he doesn't really deserve it since he can't qb sneak to save his life and none of his touchdowns were even to wide receivers.

I'm pretty sure that was AJ's second face mask of the year. It's probably time to give up on that guy.

That fake punt was a joke. There were 3 guys to block the only guy that had a chance to make the tackle and they all ran right past him like they were trying to cover the return or something. Between that and having a long snapper that runs like Colluzi, I think it's high time to find a new special teams coach.

Jackson has got to be the most over hyped player in Iowa history. Maybe if he would try covering his guy a little tighter, he wouldn't have to make circus interceptions. You can tell he's not any good by the way quarterbacks keep throwing his direction. I think it's probably time to find a new corner and make him a full time punt returner.

Lastly, if Brian Ferentz thinks he can make that whole tirade from last game go away by scoring the most points ever scored against Urban Meyer, he's got another thing coming. It would actually mean something maybe if he didn't need a pick 6 to do it.

Exactly. And they had to use tomfoolery to even GET that pick-6. Urbs was spot-on. We were "baiting".
