Seth Wallace getting strong DC interest from other schools

I'd take Abdul any fucking day of the week over Seth Wallace.

Wallace is a toxic guy from everything I've read, and the stuff with Kallenberger was indefensible. It shouldn't go unnoticed that literally no players past or present came out in defense of Wallace this summer, Brian, Kirk, even Doyle for christ's sake had people publicly defending them, but not Wallace. He's got that southern mindset from the 60s that the only way to motivate players is to scream and tell them what pieces of shit they are, and then take the only ones still standing. Pretty sure Reese Morgan didn't coach that way and he put some ridiculously talented kids in the NFL. Ask any of Reese's players and I guarantee you they'd all take a bullet for the guy. The love that guy got on twitter when he retired was unbelievable.

So send that squidbilly Wallace packing to some MAC program and bring in Abdul.

Abdul's an Iowa guy, a program guy, and he knows the culture here. He's also got high-level football experience and even though it isn't a requirement, which guy do you want sitting in your living room talking to you about recruiting your son?

I work with someone from just over the border in SD who's kid plays defense at USD, and he said Hodge is the most popular, high-motor coach they have. I've heard the comment that those players love playing for him him more than a few times.

Looks like we might have that opening for Lovie soon.

Still, you have to admit Iowa's defense seems to have stepped it up to a whole new level the last couple of years. While Parker probably deserves the most credit, you have to wonder how much of the defense's improvement is due to Wallace

Some of the innovative schemes Iowa has imployed like the 4-2-5 and other little schemes they have used, must have been come up with as the Defensive coaches sat around the table and discussed different ideas. I mean I don't have any inside knowledge but I have a hunch that Wallace's strength might be in coming up with defensive schemes and not so much being Mr. Sensitive with the players.
