I believe there was 6+ minutes on the clock and down by a touchdown. Instead of going to hurry up mode (which was successful earlier in the day) we deployed our plodding offensive scheme. As if the game was in the 1st quarter.
Why? Who makes this decision do you suppose?
Now you have put a ton of pressure on your offense. You are basically saying it's do or die given the clock situation. Our last drive.
Pregame with Dolph, KF mentioned he wanted longer drives and longer possessions. Was he still in that mode at this point?Maybe he knows his defense is crap, but sometimes don't you just need to outscore the opponent? Especially when you can't run the ball consistently to control a drive. Can't we just throw the ball long sometime? It might actually set up the run.
Again, the age old question? Who is responsible for this offensive mess? GD? or KF? We know who is responsible for the Defense.
Oh, and we really couldn't pass block last year either. CJ just covered up the weakness with his running and scrambling. Until we met Sparty and Cardinal of course. Worst Oline in KF era?
