Sean Foster decommits from Minny

I really think he wants to go to Iowa, but he doesn't even have an offer yet. What does Iowa not see in him that Notre Dame and other do? Not that it means a damn thing but I've tweeted Seth Wallace about him twice. We just really need an OT in this class and if it's not going to be Farniok and think Foster would be great.

"According to his 247Sports recruiting profile, the “crystal ball” predicts he will fall to the Iowa Hawkeyes, though he has not officially received an offer from them to this point."

That's a PPV link. Got one more befitting a free site?

Worked for me at the time I posted it now it doesn't.......sorry. Don't remember too much about the article now but it didn't seem to say too much other than he's taking more visits although I do remember he said he had one favorite in mind but said he wasn't going to comment on it at this time. Guess you can read into that about anything. Taking the glass half full outlook maybe it means if Farniok doesn't commit he will get an Iowa offer and is willing to put together his Plan B in the meantime.......pure conjecture on my part.

Try this in the meantime.............http://www.chicagotribune.com/subur...innesota-football-tl-1202-20151202-story.html

.........interesting comments about Iowa heavily recruiting him but no offer.

Gopher fan here. . I graduated from Univ of Minnesota, but live in Iowa so I have no choice but to listen to the Hawkeye news. Great year btw.
I stopped by the board a few times last year and revealed in your pain. It was great to see the Hawkeye fan base bicker about program, the fire Ferentz noise and the complaints about your recruiting. While your recruiting classes didn’t rank well with the pundits (who by the way, no nothing about recruiting), I thought you had a few really talented classes in 2014 and 2015. The 2016 class has some really impressive kids on defense. That’s my preamble; I’ll get to my point…
One thing I never question is the Hawkeyes’ staff when it relates to offensive linemen. Last year I watched these Hawkeye boards sing doom and gloom about the walk-on OTs (Boettger and Boone Myers), and also questioned the heart of Welsh (who I recall took time to manage a family issue) and there was even a question as to whether Walsh was talented. Turns out the Hawkeye coaches coached up the walk-ons and turned them into a couple good players. Another walk-on emerged (Croston) and may be better than the other two. All three look good to me. Throw in the freshman (Daniels) and you all have good talent returning. That’s before you consider: Render, Paulsons, Newborg, etc.
Now, back to Sean Foster. I felt great joy when the Gophers beat the Hawks with his initial recruitment. Then, I began to question why a Hawkeye legacy didn’t get offered by the Hawkeyes. I watched some game film and noticed he dominated…against kids much smaller than him. Then, I saw a film of him working out behind his house. He’s a huge kid (6’8, 300) What I saw was kid that didn’t look athletic, he looked stiff, heavy footed, slow…he plodded. My summation was he didn’t look like a Hawkeye tackle. He’s got the size, but appears to be too tall and doesn’t move well enough to play guard and not nimble/athletic enough to play tackle. All that said, something is up. My guess is the Hawkeye coaches know the deal and have passed for the same reasons that Minnesota coaches passed on Meeker, Heinrich and Bright.

Be thankful for what you have now. If you guys get Farniok...God help us all.
The Gophers lost a “4-Star” and I’m not crying.

good post goph - yeah, i always wonder who is sitting behind the keyboard when it comes to posters questioning coaches and recruiting, etc. really bizarre.........but he's a 4**** :)
