Scouting Arizona

you can tell a lot about what stoops and company think of the o-line by the play calls inside the red-zone....specifically on goal-line situations. Though AZ scored a touchdown inside the 5, it was pass first then a trick play where they fake pass and foles runs it in. Didn't even try to pound it in against a mac team. I can see AZ having some success against iowa between the 20's but they will struggle to score touchdowns.

Arizona will be one of the fastest offenses we face, one of the best passing QB's we face, one of the best WR corps we face.

They get the ball out relativily quick which will limit the effectiveness of our dline in passing situations.

They will be a tough matchup for us. Let's pray that they try to establish half a running game. I don't think they'll have much luck on the ground.

Foles is good. Our safeties, Greenwood and Sash, are going to have their hands full. Probably the simpleist wat to look at it is would we roll into Toledo on our opening game and win 41-2?

Got a patient, accurate qb and a good rb. Could definitely see them giving Iowa problems. Defense hasn't given up any points either.

It was said that Arizona had a good QB and good RB last year before they meet our defense.
They should be able to move the ball between the 20's but will have a terrible time punching it in. I am not impressed with their Oline.

Nebraska held foles to 6 of 20 for 28 yards. But they press covered and challenged AZ to beat them deep.... not exactly what we are used to seeing. I hope we take a tip or two from what Nebraska did last year.

Az looked good for an opening game. But not much different than last year. Same stuff. Except their secondary isn't as good.

Foles didn't take over the QB role until after they played Iowa last year. He had far more success moving the team. However, Nebby made Foles less than pedestrian.

Nebby played Foles totally different then Norm is going to play him though. Our linebackers can't defend their WR's. I'll say that right now without even seeing our LB. Foles is a totally different animal and so is this offense from last year when we faced them. This offense is potent.
